We take our commitment to the environment very seriously so anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. We recycle plastic, tins, glass, cardboard and paper which are collected weekly. If you are able to help by keeping these items separate for collection by the housekeepers it would be greatly appreciated.

We are attempting to reduce our food and drink miles. Most of our food is of Cornish origin and many of our ales are from local breweries. If you have a look at our food section you will see a list of local suppliers. Not only does this reduce our impact on the environment, but it also supports the local economy and ensures that Cornwall remains vibrant therefore making your visit more enjoyable.

Within the hotel we take our actions on the environment seriously and recycle when possible and work to conserve water and electricity, so to help us do that we have one simple system, with regards to laundry 'Towels in the bath please wash', 'Towels hanging on the rails we will use again'.

We would appreciate it if you could assist us in our green mission by switching off lights when you leave the room and by not leaving the TV on standby.

We also have a long term aim to look into the possibility of using solar panels to provide hot water to our bedrooms. As we refurbish rooms we are going to endeavor to see how we can reduce our long term impact through energy saving measures. We replace bulbs with energy saving bulbs.

If you want to know anymore on what we are trying to achieve to reduce our impact on the environment please have a chat to Louise.
