The Driftwood Spars is a Freehouse and we pride ourselves in our variety of alcoholic beverages and in the quality we keep and serve them.

We regularly receive full marks for our CASK marque inspections for the quality of our beer served. In April 2009 CAMRA Kernow named us ‘the pub of the year 2009’ We are very proud of this and enjoy promoting a wide range of real ale.

Our high turnover of beer ensures it is always kept in perfect condition, this also allows us to have an interesting and varied choice.

Beers

As we have our own micro-brewery we proudly run two of our beers on top with an additional one that changes. Cornish beers that are almost always present (unless we have run out) are:

Driftwood - Lou's Brew
Driftwood - Red Mission
St Austell - Tribute or another
Sharps - Doom Bar or another
Skinners ale

We also have a guest ale which is often not from around here. Check Twitter for regular guest ale updates...

In addition, all of our nine ales brewed are available in bottles behind the bar. We also sell them in our off license which is open during the summer months.
